From the moment you arrive, you will be looked after by us with meticulous care throughout the entire journey – From the daily cleaned and serviced bike, the fully equipped support vehicle, freshly laundered kit service… to the chilled recovery shake handed to you at the end of your ride!
Our team consists of an experienced mechanic and knowledgeable professional guides. The support vehicle is always there for any eventuality, or a welcome haven if you need that rest. We also have local bi-lingual support for any incidents that require assistance, be that medical or administrative.
THE PYRENEES & SAN SEBASTIAN
This is a unique experience that invites you to experience two cycling meccas in one unforgettable week’s cycling. We begin our experience in the spectacular city of San Sebastián in the Basque country to tackle the legendary mountain passes of ‘La vuelta a Espana’ and then onto the French Pyrenees where we will ride the mythical Pyrenean summits that have graced the Tour De France for more than a century. This two-in-one cycling adventure, should be on the bucket list of any serious cyclist. It’s hard to imagine a more perfect week’s cycling.
The first half of this experience, we base ourselves in the beautiful coastal town of San Sebastián and the gateway into the Basque country where cycling is part of the DNA. From our luxury hotel next to the famous ‘La concha’ beach – we set out to tackle some of the incredible punchy summits that surround this gorgeous town – including Iguelado, Basakabi & Puerto de Andazarrete.
Aside from the stunning cycling routes – this is a gastronomic delight for any serious foodie. We invite you to savour some of the culinary delights in the Pyrenees bistros and our favourite bars and restaurants of San Sebastián.
The second half of this adventure takes us into the Pyrenees mountains with arguably some of the best climbing in the world, with miles of epic never ending switchbacks and with less traffic, it offers the rider a more peaceful experience than the Alps further north. This epic challenge takes us to the heart of the Pyrenees to ride historic summits – including Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aubisque & Col d’Aspin.– following the pedal strokes of the legends of Tour de France folklore like Eddy Merckx, Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Bernard Hinault, Greg Lemond and many more.
